Stations, Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff took time to remember 9/11 in a number of ways today (Monday, September 11). Students were asked to pick a name from among those killed in the terrorist attack, and write it on one of two long scrolls at the student center and on the Drillfield.
The War Memorial Chapel was open to give people a chance for individual reflection, and music by Chopin and Brahms played in the student center.
And a student group overnight set up 2,977 miniature flags in the middle of the Drillfield to commemorate the lives of those killed in the attacks.
